DIY Toner

One of my DIY beauty products is a toner.  To make my recipe, you’ll need

  • 1/2 cup hot water
  • 1 green tea bag
  • 1/4 cup witch hazel
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • plastic makeup spray/squirt bottle at least 1 cup capacity

Steep the tea bag in the 1/2 cup of hot water for a few minutes.  After making sure your bottle is dry and clean, pour in the green tea.  Add in your 1/4 cups of witch hazel and apple cider vinegar and you have your own very effective, cheap, DIY facial toner!

The antioxidants and and caffeine in the green tea help with take away any puffiness and tighten the skin.  The apple cider vinegar and witch hazel dry up oils, kill bacteria and zits, even skin tone and calm any redness you may have.

I love DIY skincare products because you can specifically cater to your skins needs.  If you have dry skin, add in a few drops of tea tree oil, if you want an all around brighter tone, add in some fresh squeezed lemon juice, if you have oily skin, add in more witch hazel.

Make sure to use all natural 100% pure ingredients.  Check the ingredients label on the back to make sure that only what you’re looking for is listed!

Thinking of trying it out? Have your own recipe? Be sure and let me know in a comment!

    • Absolutely! Toner is great for the skin. It’s helps shrink pores, tighten, brighten and even complexion. This one I make is too full of good benefits to name. After washing your face at night swipe some on a cotton ball or something similar and just swipe that all over your face! If the cider vinegar smell in my recipe is too strong for you to handle, cut back on the amount or even omit it all together! Let me know if you try it out and love it!
