Wine and Glitter

This past Saturday night, I hosted a Wine and Glitter blogger party for San Antonio bloggers.  We spent the night munching on yummy goodies from Fruit Fusionz and Bird Bakery while gulping  chugging  sipping on wine and playing with glitter!

Our delicious snacks…

Our project of the night was to make DIY glittered wine glasses to toast in the New Year with some sparkle, and what a fun time we had!

And you can’t forget about the awesome swag bags I put together for the ladies with goodies from L.A. Colors Cosmetics, The Body Shop at La Cantera and Neiman Marcus at La Cantera.

I had such an incredible time playing host to a fun, beautiful, intelligent and socially savvy group of women! I can’t wait for my next wine and glitter party!

Oh, and there was still some wine left after the ladies had packed up and gone. I couldn’t very well let it go to waste!

The Holiday Letter Shop Review

A few weeks ago, I told you about The Holiday Letter Shop where you can get personalized letters from Santa for you children.  Rayne and River recently received theirs in the mail and were ecstatic!

It arrived in a glitter filled envelope stamped from the North Pole and addressed to my boys.

Inside they found an official nice list certificate with their names on it…

a personalized letter from Santa…

along with an autographed picture from Santa, a sheet of stickers and an activity book!

Rayne read the whole letter out loud and knew Santa really wrote it and is watching him and his brother when it mentioned their ages and their favorite activities!

This little envelope filled with goodies thrilled my boys and help to preserve their Christmas magic spirit! The only negative thing I could say is that Santa forgot to sign the official nice list certificate, but Rudolph did. I guess I can forgive Santa for overlooking it, he is a busy man after all!

I highly recommend this personalized bit of Christmas magic for your mini’s.  The excitement it brings to their faces and the spirit it prolongs in their all to short period of belief is well worth it!

Head over and check out the other character letters they offer and see what you can personalize for your kids!

I own a few swarovski crystal necklaces and I love them! I have a simple one, an intricate one and a show stopper. The quality that comes with the name is always worth the price.

The giving spirit of my children

A few days ago I told you about the Christmas stockings my children and I were putting together for a family in need. We have since met the family and given them their gifts and I want to share with you the experience.

The night of Christmas Eve, BJ’s restaurant hosted a dinner for the whole family and bestowed them with gifts given with generosity by the employees of BJ’s. My family and I drove down to meet them and hand deliver their goodies.

They family was so overwhelmed with the generosity and love of everyone who contributed to their Christmas that they were tearing up and at a loss for words.

Can I just brag on my boys for a minute and say how amazingly proud of them I am! My 8 year old son Rayne and 2 year old son River handed out the personalized stockings to each of those kids without any hesitation while telling them Merry Christmas with big smiles and open hearts!

I teared up when I saw the wide smiles as the kids got their stockings and as I was given hugs from the parents.

My boys acted so selflessly and seemed to really understand what we were doing and why. They never once asked what was in it for them or complained about giving away toys and gifts they would have loved themselves.

It renews my faith in goodwill, love and selfless charity and renews my faith in myself and how I’m raising my mini’s.

Practice random acts of kindness and pass it on!
