One fish, two fish, goat and quail?!

There’s still 2 days of Culinaria left and I’ve already had an amazing time!

I’ve only attend 2 events so far, the Duchman wine dinner at Lüke, and the Best of Mexico at La Cantera, but those 2 events alone have made Culinaria worth it!

The 4 course Duchman wine dinner at Lüke featured fresh local ingredients paired with local wines.


The hubbs and I stepped out for a rare date night out and noshed on shrimp ceviche, charred quail, roasted goat and toasted angel food cake with amoretti.




Chef John Ross out did himself and with the help of his staff, hosted a deliciously put together foodie experience!


The feel of the Best of Mexico, hosted at La Cantera, was, in contrast, a casual outdoor tasting. Various restaurants came together to offer up their best Mexican flavors, wines and tequilas.


There was paella, street tacos, fruits, cheeses, cupcakes, ceviche, and more. And I got a plate of everything!


The night included photo booth fun pictures by the San Antonio Current, a silent auction whose proceeds benefited the local community, and a love band who got the crowd dancing!



It was my oldest sons 9th birthday and he attended the “grown up event” with us as his birthday dinner and he said it was the “best birthday ever!” The perfect ending to the day.


And I of course couldn’t leave without getting one more glass of wine to go!
